Incline Board Twisting Sit-Ups

Purpose of Exercise:

FOR UPPER ABS AND INTERCOSTALS.

A variation of the normal Sit-Up involves twisting as you do the movement so that you not only involve the abdominals but the intercostals as well, giving your torso a really finished quality look.

Execution:

  • Position yourself on an incline board as in the preceding exercise with hands clasped behind your head.
  • But then, as you rise up, twist to bring your right elbow to your left knee.
  •  On the next repetition, your left elbow to your right knee, feeling each time a “crunching” contraction of the intercostals.
