Conversation with Roshan

How did you get interested in bodybuilding/working out?

I was involved in Martial Art and I entered Gym for some physical workouts to gain some power such as Punching and Kicking (with weights)

How was your first show (competition) like, any interesting experiences?

It was really mixed feeling as I was standing with only Trunk in-front of Hundreds of people J. It was in Mr. Valley 1994 where I finished 3rd position.

What do you like and dislike about competing?

I like it as it is a time to demonstrate the muscles in the Artistic way. People here in Nepal don’t know to cheer up the competitors.

What are your future goals in this industry?

Having my own GYM and producing good bodybuilders.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

My God, Bodybuilding is really amazing game if you take it in good way. It is a combination of Science and Art and I would like to be a good trainer as well as a good motivator. Of course, I would like to get involved in Judgment Panel as well.

Please tell us something special about you that most people wouldn’t know?

I never had any coaches in my life in the field of Bodybuilding. Arnold Schwarzenegger is my GURU as I always followed a book written by him along with Bill Dobbins called “Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding”.

Any additional notes? People you would like to thank?

I would like to say “Bodybuilding is not only lifting the weights but it is always a combination of Art and Science” so, follow it and respect it. I would like to thank My training Partner for long time: Sagar Tamrakar (Who was Mr. Valley in 1995 and Mr. Dharmashree), who is really senior and respected one in Bodybuilding, for his support at first when I started bodybuilding in the Nine Point Health Club in Patan (NPHC).
